ENGINE AIR FILTRATION

During your oil change with Hometown Lube Express one of our experienced technicians will do a visual inspection of the Engine Air Filtration System and they will then provide you with recommendations dependent on their findings.

 

 

 

WHAT IS SO IMPORTANT ABOUT THE ENGINE AIR FILTRATION SYSTEM?

Some issues that will arise when your system is not running correctly can include poor acceleration, lower fuel economy, lower engine performance and even oil leaks.

When you accelerate your vehicle the filtration system helps filter the air’s contaminents and ensure the correct mixture of air/fuel entering the engine.

The components that make up the Engine Air Filtration System includes:

  • The Engine Air Filter Helps keep engine damage to a minimum by filtering harmful particles can come through the intake system.
  • The Breather Element Helps filter air that comes into the engine crankcase.
  • PCV Valve Helps regulate the flow of crankcase fumes into the intake manifold in order to be burned off and help maintain crankcase pressure.

CABIN AIR FILTER REPLACEMENT

The passenger cabin air filter server a similar purpose to the air conditioning for your home. It lowers the amount of contaminents that enter your vent system.

With your basic oil change service we will also include installation of a new cabin air filter.
