FUEL FILTER REPLACEMENT

The fuel filter works with the air filter to help keep the engine free from harmful debris and to help protect the fuel system.  Fuel filters protect some of the very delicate parts of your engine. Carburetors and fuel injection systems can be clogged up by the tiniest of particles, so a properly functioning fuel filter is very important.    
The fuel from the fuel tank is typically pumped from a pump inside the fuel tank to the engine. In the line between the fuel tank and the engine, a fuel filter is located to help protect the fuel system. As a fuel filter slowly becomes clogged, the restricted flow of fuel could lead to poor acceleration and reduced engine performance. Our service includes:
  • removing the old fuel filter
  • installing a new fuel filter
  • starting the vehicle to check for leaks

FUEL SYSTEM CLEANING SERVICE

Every time the accelerator is pressed it controls how much fuel and air the engine takes in. The pedal tells the throttle valve how much air to let in and the computer tell the fuel to flow. It’s important that the fuel be as clean as possible. Performing fuel system service:
  • helps remove fuel varnish build-up
  • helps remove intake valve deposits
  • helps reduce cylinder head deposits
